Requirements for AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Use and Compliance:

Physician Oversight
A licensed physician must be involved to ensure AED usage follows proper guidelines.

CPR/AED Training
Anyone expected to use an AED should complete CPR and AED training.

Informing Emergency Services
If you have an AED, you must notify your local emergency dispatch center about its location and type.

Regular Maintenance
The AED must be maintained and tested as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Reporting Use
If you use an AED to help someone in cardiac arrest, call emergency services immediately and report the use to the supervising physician or authorized person.
