Why Is It Done?

Your physician may recommend that you have an aortic ultrasound if you’re at risk of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Screening for men is recommended between the ages of 65 and 75 who have smoked many cigarettes during their lifetimes.  It is not recommended for women to receive an ultrasound as a screening for preventative measures.

About Procedure
